Servers Alive

Last Updated on 25 May 2003, Company: bvba Woodstone

When Servers Alive detects a down condition, it can respond with a wide array of notifications and alerts, including sending an e-mail (SMTP) saying what is down, paging you with a numeric or alphanumeric warning, executing a program, playing a sound, creating a web or WAP page, and restarting an NT service. Among the many checks it can do: it can monitor any Winsock service, ping a host, check if an NT service/process is running, check the available disk space on a server, retrieve an URL, check your database engine, and more.
