Policy Central Pro helps eliminate computer abuses by promoting your organisation's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) while monitoring for violations.

It puts the responsibility back into the hands of the computer user, and reports misbehaviour directly to the administrator! Screen captures of violations are stored in a secure database with user info, date, time, application and violation stamp.

    I tried to run PCP on a 2000 and 2003 server. I soon found out that it wouldn't run from the desktops, they wouldn't write back to the servers. It needs to set up on a machine that runs all the time but not a "server" in the true sense. I set up a normal PC and installed the policy server software, the machine is only used for that purpose and have had no problems since. Hope this helps.

    We've also looked at the software and found it excellent. Didn't come accross this issue, perhaps you can contact the developers or distributors in your area / country?

    Policy Central Pro not loading

    We installed Policy Central Pro on a number of PCs as an administrator but can't get it to run when a user loggs on. Has anyone found an answer to this?

    Very useful software. It can be a bit of a chore to go through all the screenshots of violations, but the benefits far outweigh this. A great investment for any company, and well worth the $ spent.

    Policy Central Pro

    I am an IT Coordinator at Telstra, and we've been using Policy Central Pro for about 6 months now. I have to say, it's one of the best pieces of software we've ever invested in!

    It's made life so much easier, and I say had a big impact on overall computer use at our company.
