3CX, founded in 2005 and headquartered in Europe with offices in London and Cyprus, has focused on the Windows IP PBX market with its 3CX Phone System for Windows. Whilst there are numerous Linux solutions, professional Windows based IP PBX solutions that are easy to configure and are suitable for Small to Medium businesses remain thin on the ground. 3CX has focused itself on this market. 3CX Phone System is entirely SIP standard based, and therefore interoperates with most popular SIP phones, SIP VOIP Gateways and SIP VOIP providers. It is intended to completely replace a traditional PBX, be easily manageable by system administrators and to integrate well with Windows Network infrastructure.
