To set console font ( must be a valid font name existing on the system or covered by font substitution ), apply the following Windows NT / Windows 2000 registry hack.

Hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key: Console
Name: FaceName
Type: REG_SZ
Value: name_of_screen_font

Font oriented subkeys are best set with Contol Panel or other utilities.
