Workgroup or domain members can be hidden from Network Neighborhood. It makes for a abbreviated display if there are no servers you want to browse to using Network Neighborhood. It does not disable access, only being listed in the Network Neighborhood browser. To apply this lockdown tip, see the following Windows NT registry hack:

Hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key: Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Network
Name: NoWorkgroupContents
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1
