If you want to suppress the informational browser election messages, apply this Windows NT registry hack :

Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Key: SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
Key: SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters
Name: LogElectionPackets
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 0 don't log
