Windows 2000 MsConfig

Win95 and Win98 users search in vain for msconfig. Windows 2000 is an updated version of Windows NT, not Win9x, and does not include msconfig. You can run the Win9x version of msconfig under W2K, just ignore the error messages. There are 3rd party utilities with similar functionality. NT and W2K have many methods to start applications. These tools will give you a method of determining what has been started and control whether it should startup in the future:
