You can control many command shell options via the registry. The HKCU\Console subkey is the same for Windows NT and Windows 2000. This tip points to tips in my Windows NT registry section which have been updated to note the compatibility between these two version of NT.

Cursor Size
Command Shell Full Screen vs Window Mode
Console font
Default Console Font Family
Command History Buffer
Quick Edit Mode

There are other options. Browse the Console subkey for more.
