Niffty feature of Windows 2000 and Windows XP: You are working on desktop and you have a set of files you want to drag and drop into the Recycle Bin but it is hidden behind an application window. No problem. Drag the files to a blank portion of the task bar and hold them there. In a moment, the application hidding the Recycle Bin will minimize! At this point you can finish dragging them and drop them on the Recycle Bin.

Don't try dropping the files-to-be-deleted on the task bar. Keep the mouse key depressed until you can drop the files on the Recycle Bin.
