Disable Recent Shares in Network Places

Stop Windows from automatically adding shared folders to My Network Places

When you open a document in the shared folder, Windows adds a shortcut of the shared folder to My Network Places. This registry hack stops Windows from doing this.

Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

Key: \Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Value Name: NoRecentDocsNetHood

DWORD Value: 0 = list shares, 1 = don’t list shares
